Let's see. What did we get out of the recent Barry Bonds news conference? The reporters were asking the same old "rerun" questions, steroids do nothing to improve hand/eye coordination, that Babe Ruth was white and that Barry Bonds is black. Let's look at some of the facts:
1. Steroids DO improve strength. Like the strength to turn a routine fly ball to right field into a home run.
2. A good reporter will keep asking the same question, in one form or another, until it is answered properly. Where would MLB be if reporters ignored the game?
3. Yes, Babe Ruth was white and Barry Bonds is black. Is it easier for a white player to hit a home run? I don't get it. If you were to compare salaries per home run, Bonds is the real winner, here. And since this is the USA, where the buck comes first, this should be the determining factor. And if you say that money does not matter, then you have too much money.
Also Bonds said that he is not a racist. Why would he feel the need to say that?
Let's level the playing field. Test every player before every game, OR let everybody use whatever steroid they want!
