That Favre/Sterger Thing

It suddenly occurred to me. This is no great revelation, but then again, I haven't heard it from anyone else.

Does it seem a little fishy to you that the story broke within a week of the nationally televised Jets-Vikings game? Does this sound like something that Rex Ryan, or one of his cohorts might bring up?

A story like this has been dormant for two years and then suddenly it goes viral? Why is it suddenly so necessary for this story to "breaK?" (I wonder what Joe Nameth would say about all of this!)

This week, there is a totally different stink coming from North Jersey.

Meet Brett Favre's Headache

Her name is Jenn Sterger. She's a 26 year old model, actress, sports reporter and Internet celebrity from Tampa. She went to Florida State University, has successfully promoted herself on the Internet to the point where she's been featured in Playboy and Maxim. She has a website. www.jennsterger.com. She's also into sports. She was working for the New York Jets as a "Gameday Host." I'm not sure what a "Gameday Host" is, but that's what she was. Apparently she caught Brett Favre's eye. I have heard two voicemail messages where a voice sounding like Favre's invites her to get together with him after the game. Reports indicate that she says that she never met Favre. (A "Gameday Host" who never met the starting quarterback?)

Sterger says that the allegations and the evidence have surfaced from a third party. The NFL has opened an investigation. An investigation into what? That Favre may have flirted with Sterger?

It's a headache for Favre.....nothing more.
