What Year Is It?

Hey, no kidding! What year is it? Of course, it's 2005, but how do you say it? The correct way is "two thousand, five." I learned in the fifth grade that when you read multi digit numbers that you never use the word "and" unless you are dealing with decimals. To prove that two thousand, five is correct, ask yourself what year was it, ten years ago? Nineteen and ninety five? Of course not, unless you're a hayseed... And even if you are from the sticks, there's no need to sound dumber that you may already be.

I quess that inserting the "and" (to some people) makes you sound more studious....as if you are documenting modern history. Baloney, you just ain't talking right.
