9/11 + 10

This is kind of interesting. The tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks is among us and some people aren't sure how to observe the occasion.

My fist impulse is to say, "Don't ever, EVER forget! Yes, it is important to remember that there is evil in the world and that some people want us dead.

My other impulse is, yes, I remember when the twin towers were built. My family and I visited the north tower of the trade center's observation deck. I know what happened and I would like to honor the event by avoiding the coverage of the its anniversary.

Enough.

Survivors and heroic responders to the tragedy are still suffering and dying from the effects of the attack. Shouldn't we turn our attention to them?
