Roxana Saberi is a 31 year old American free lance reporter. She's been living in Iran for the past 6 years and in an Iranian jail for the past month.
Here's a little background, Roxana was born in the USA of an Iranian-born father and a Japanese-born mother. She was raised in Fargo ND where she was Miss North Dakota and a top ten finalist for Miss America in the late '90s. She has multiple masters degrees and has been reporting from Iran for NPR, BBC and other agencies. This is dangerous work. The wrong word or phrase can get a reporter in big trouble. Officially, Saberi was arrested for buying a bottle of wine. Apparently, alcohol is off limits, there.
The reason that I am posting this story is not to highlight the oppression in Iran. The purpose is to bring attention to Saberi's situation. This woman is in serious trouble. Publicity may be able to help.
