This comes as a bit of a shock. Michael Jackson died today, in LA. He was 50. Reports are sketchy (but aren't they always?) that Jackson was rushed to the hospital after having difficulty breathing, at his home in Los Angeles.
If you were alive in the 70's and especially the 80's, you are aware of why they called him the "King Of Pop." Not exactly my cup of tea, but it is sad. After all the success that he achieved, I don't think he had many friends, or that he was very happy. We got to see him as eccentric or downright weird in the last 20 years of his life - whatever. I think that part of it was weird, part publicity seeking and part showmanship. He was one of a kind and he'll be remembered.
