Iranian President Ahmadinejad put his 1977 Peugeot 504 Sedan on the auction block, this weekend.
The Associated Press reports that the car is being offered so that apartments can be built for low income Iranians.
Top bid for the car was reported to be over $1 million. The high bidders will be invited to the actual auction in mid February.
I checked with the NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) used car guide and saw that the car's MSRP in 1977 was $7,360. "Clean Retail" is estimated to be $5,075.
You know what this means, dont you?
It means (and I know a little something about this) that if Ahmadinejad can gross $994,925 on a 33 year old car, he's the absolute best used car salesman in the world!
