I've mentioned before that I have a serious belief that money - big money - makes people dumber and dumber. Consider the case of Plaxico Burress of the New York Giants. He's 31 years old and is making somewhere between $3,250,000 and $7,000,000(before fines) this season. The other night he accidently (we think) shoots himself in his right thigh. The gun is unlicenced. He is turning himself in. Keep in mind that carrying an illegal concealed firearm in New York City carries a mandatory minimum jail sentance of 3.5 years. Burress had an expired licence for the firearm from Florida.
Meanwhile, on the field, the Giants defeated the Washington Redskins, yesterday. Eli Manning threw for more than 300 yards - without Burress.
