We were expecting this...and it finally happened. Charlie Sheen has signed a deal with Lionsgate Television. They will produce a sitcom starring Charlie Sheen and have committed to ten episodes up front with the option to pick-up and produce 90 more episodes if the ratings prove to be successful. This means the sitcom could be on TV for 8 years!
No network has been named. TBS is the likely candidate. It should be pointed out that there is more "freedom" on cable TV. This means that Charlie could use four letter words. (Oh my!)
Personal thoughts - I think that Charlie Sheen's TV Sitcom Career has "Jumped The Shark." I don't see him topping his performance in 2 1/2 Men. He should do a movie and, maybe "write" a book. There are many things that he can do. Whatever it is...I think it'll be on a much smaller scale than "Men."
