They may have the nation's most popular CD, no thanks to Wal-Mart! I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart nor Green Day. So why the post? Well, while I believe that Green Day has every right to showcase their limited vocabulary and "adult content" on their "21st Century Breakdown" CD, Wal-Mart has every right to sell or to not sell the CD. Censorship? (How dare Wal-Mart find distaste in our music!) Yes, in a way, but only because of Wal-Mart's long-standing policy not to stock any CD with a parental advisory sticker.
How did Elvis do so well? He didn't have Wal-Mart or potty-mouth lyrics...
