This guy is so dumb that it's sad...and probably criminal.
24 year old Matthew Brace of Northampton, MA was at a convenience store and put his child in a stranger's truck and offered to trade his 3 month old daughter for a couple of "Fortys." Police are not sure if he was talking about 40 ounce beers or if he meant crack cocaine. Either way, he's been arrested and the child is in protective custody. Brace's girlfriend hasn't been charged. Police found Brace hiding behind a dumpster at the Econo-Lodge where the state was paying for him to live with his girlfriend and the child.
I'm at a loss. What do you do with someone like this?
