First, let me offer a belated congratulations to the Highland Park (IL) High School Girls' Basketball Team for their conference championship! It had been 26 years since The Lady Giants won all the marbles. We are, indeed, proud of your hard work and accomplishment!
The girls are in the national spotlight and it has little to do with basketball. You see, the girls were invited to compete in a basketball tournament, later this year, in Arizona. Arizona? Yes, Arizona where the loony lawmakers have recently decided that it should be illegal to be an illegal alien! Seriously, the folks in Arizona are having problems. Problems with drug related crime and the illegal alien population is a part of it. The problem in Arizona will not change if the Highland Park High School Girls' Basketball Team plays in the Scottsdale tournament or not.
Back to the girls. They've been selling cookies to raise money to take the trip. The kids deserve something.
Spokesperson for the local school district is Dr. Suzan Hebson. She's an assistant superintendent. This probably means that the Superintendent dropped this in her lap. Dr. Suzan spoke with the Chicago Tribune. You may reach her, at work, by calling 224-765-1016. You may e-mail her at shebson@dist113.org
Unfortunately these school officials are so noble that they would rather support illegal aliens than their own kids.
Is this a great country or what?
