Clint Eastwood turns 80, today. Reports are that he is refusing to celebrate. I would say that 80 is "just a number." I'd also say, "Hey Clint - chill out - some people your age are dead!"
My favorite screen memory of Clint Eastwood was his work in the original "Dirty Harry." It was a role which had been written for Frank Sinatra! Sinatra had some kind of a leg injury, at the time, and wasn't up to making a movie.
Anyway, it's interesting to note that Eastwood has fans from multiple generations...from the early days and the Spaghetti Westerns, to the Dirty Harry movies and to his more recent stuff.
By the way, Eastwood is his real name. Good actor...happy birthday!
