E very year we hear about how commercialized Christmas has become. There's a group of German Catholics that want's to replace Santa Claus with St. Nicholas. They say that Santa Claus is an invention of the advertising industry. This may be true, but replacing Santa Claus with St. Nicholas will not change anything. Parents will still behave the way they always have. Killing of the jolly fat man will not make Christmas a religious holiday.
