I don't know Justin Bieber from a hole in the ground, nor do I know Esperanza Spalding. (This is a picture of the 16 year old Canadian, Bieber, in his ill fitting tux.) I am not familiar with either of them nor their music - that's not the point. In case you missed it, Spalding was the surprise winner of the Best New Artist award. Bieber was expected to win.(...)
Bieber's fans did not take it too well. Some went to Spalding's Wikipedia page and entered things like: "Justin Bieber deserved it, go die in a hole," others changed her middle name to both "Justin" and "Quesedilla." Esperanza's Grammy entry was also defaced to read, "Bieber 4 Lyfe!!!"
