Newsflash: Internet Is #1 For News

The Internet has officially surpassed TV and newspapers as the #1 source for news in the USA.

This finding was released today from the Project for Excellence in Journalism, a research organization that evaluates and studies the performance of the press. (...)
I'm not sure how they can make any money doing that, but they said that the growth in popularity of smartphones and electronic tablets accounted for a 17% increase in Internet news consumption on-line.

This really isn't surprising. Internet news is fast and (usually) FREE...and you can get an update at any time without having to wait until 6PM or until you can pick up a paper. Maybe this is why TV & radio stations & newspapers are getting more and more serious about their presence on the Internet.

I'm wondering if this story will find it's way into tomorrow's newspaper or onto tonight's 11 o'clock news?
