Martin Scorsese...you know... the Academy Award winning director - owes big money in back taxes. The IRS says that Marty owes $2.85 Million in taxes, interest & penalties. He's had a history of tax problems since at least 2002.
I'm sure he will blame his "money people."
The ironic thing is that a great director pays great attention to detail when making a movie. Taxes? Different story!(...)
By the way, the 68 year old Scorsese lives in a $12 million town house on Manhattan's upper east side.
I have a problem with rich people (or anybody) who blow off their duty to pay their share of taxes to the thieves in Washington.
At least, Marty, get a real accountant to build you a tax shelter..or, you know...do what other rich people do to get around paying taxes.
