Ohio Town Lets Speeders Slide

Ohio Speeding Ticket

There's something wrong with this. People break the law, in this case, ignoring the speed limit. They are caught and then, THEY ARE LET OFF THE HOOK!

We're talking about 900+ speeding tickets in one location in a very short amount of time!

The tickets were issued on April 2, using a hidden camera located in a park in Hamilton, Ohio. The problem is that most of the offenders were out-of-towners attending a youth soccer tournament. The thinking is that if the City of Hamilton upsets 900 lead footed soccer moms, the tournament may be in jeopardy...down the road. (900 Speeding Tickets X $95 = $85,500)

Authorities caved in. Too bad, adults would have understood that breaking the law has its consequences. Adults would have upheld the law.

Two questions:

1. What kind of message does this send to the kids?
2. Are there any adult minded people in Hamilton, Ohio?
