Here we go again! The government is sticking its nose into what we are eating. New York City Councilman Leroy Comrie, from Queens, has a plan to introduce legislation that would ban toys from being included in unhealthy meals at fast food restaurants.
He announced his plan today.
While his concern for the health of the kids in his district is admirable, his lack of respect for free enterprise is disturbing. This guy wants to legislate what we feed our children? No, I don't think so. We little people value our freedoms. We are free to eat as we please. If mommy and daddy make poor menu choices, shame on them. I don't look to the government to force choices on me and my family.
