This may be a good idea. Maybe not. Father Carmen D'Amico, in Pittsburgh is going to offer Mass at 2:30 every Sunday. He hopes to attract people who have been out "on the town" on Saturday night. The new Mass schedule is timed to following "closing time" at the local watering holes. It has been advertised, recently, on local college campuses in Pittsburgh.
Years ago, a similarly scheduled Mass was called the "Printer's Mass" where newspaper people would attend after ending their Saturday evening shift. Newspaper carriers would also attend, prior to their Sunday morning deliveries.
This is a good idea for publicity... I would think that the 6PM Saturday Mass would be more convenient and practical....but, then again, we are talking about college kids...
