Mexican Drug Cartel Affects Ford Lobo Sales

Ford F150 Lobo

I guess you could call this a by product of the Mexican Drug Mess. Drug gangs, south of the border, seem to prefer the Ford F150 Lobo Pickup Truck. This is affecting sales, according to Ford. Their market share has dipped from 16% in recent years to 10.7%. People shy away from these trucks as they do not want to be mistaken for a drug cartel member. They also are avoiding this one because, the drug gangs often steal these trucks as they do what they do. The gangs like the spacious cab area - suitable for carrying large amounts of ammunition and weapons as they encounter their rivals, soldiers or police.

I would have guessed that a Cadillac Escalade EXT would be more of their cup of tea...maybe just on weekends...
