Chicago Transit Authority Selling Naming Rights

Chicago Transit Authority is hurting for cash. Instead of raising fares, they decided to sell naming rights to their bus lines, train lines, stations, anything.

This could be an idea, except when a station is renamed, would a rider know where he is? For example, if you rename the Belmont station, would a rider associate the sponsor's name with Belmont? This could be worked out by calling the stop, "Coca Cola Station/Belmont."

Chicago could also pick up some spare change by selling the naming rights to streets, highways and bridges! Lakeshore Drive could become "Dasani Drive!"

As far as renaming the Red Line, I wonder if Subway Restaurents might be interested?
