U.S. Government Wacks 73,000 Blogs.

During the past week, 73,000 WordPress Blogs were shut down by the U.S. Government. The WordPress blogs were on a single Web site in a move that some fear signals an increasing disregard for individual free speech rights. The action follows the high profile government seizure of seven online movie sites weeks ago. These seven sights allegedly offered to "share" copyrighted movie files to regular Internet users.

WordPress is a competitor of Blogspot. Both Blogspot and WordPress host thousands of blogs. Many of these individual blogs are worthless except for the annoying concept of FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I do not support the violation of copyright laws...especially when the copyright owner is actually losing money.

Were all 73,000 blogs guilty? Doubtful. If you are ever unable to reach "General Tom's Blog", do a Google search. If the grim reaper of blogsites should dare to visit this site, it will pop up somewhere else.
That's a promise!
